Vulvar – Women Voices Now

2010 – This film is about a form of violence against women & girls which is endorsed in the name of culture and bred in the shadow of marriage in certain tribes of The Islamic Republic of Pakistan. It is known as Vulvar (bride price).

This is a film made independently by my high school students. Please vote for it here and share with friends.

Thank you.

PS For anyone with misgivings about this being upperclass riffraff, it must be pointed out that the upperclass people, most importantly, need to raise their voices and illuminate choices for the so-called ‘lower classes’, who were never born and bred to recognize that there ever could be such a thing as ‘choice’!
