What is Poetry?

poetry is pain personified
pleasure transformed
pangs of happiness
a perk of pining
the postscript to
every prime parley
exhumed experience
plattered chops
poetry is peace
spliced in storms
a spatter of despair
a process of repair
poetry is pliable
a truth that gives
the lie poetry
is onioned apple pie
poetry is prank and pinion
of piety and philosophy
poetry is possible
past platitudes
a plumbline pure
of daimon and philia
poetry is part art
part perfume
poetry is primal
poetry is play
play is permeance
